Sointula Winterfestival will return Saturday, November 25th, 2023 from 9am-3pm. Coffeehouse to follow at 7pm.

Sointula Winterfestival was started by a few locals on Malcolm Island, BC, looking for gifts for the holidays, coming together to craft and share within the community. Over the years, it grew and morphed into a three day event, complete with workshops, craft fair and evening performance, traditionally held the 3rd weekend of November.

Then the pandemic hit, and Winterfestival took a hiatus.

In 2022, we came back with a splash! Back to basics, it was a wonderful day full of talented artists, crafters and artisans coming together to share their hard work. We followed it up with a gut busting, boot stomping evening of shenanigans and music in the Coffeehouse, held in the historic Finnish Organization Hall. Fun was had by all!

The 45th Annual Sointula Winterfestival will return on Saturday, November 25th, 2023, from 9am-3pm, with the addition of a kid’s creative area. The craft fair is free to partake in, and everyone is welcome!

A Coffeehouse will follow at 7pm. Admission is by donation, and everyone is welcome. The concession will be run by the Sointula Recreation Association, as a fundraiser.
